Preface

Nippon Express is Japan's oldest integrated forwarding agent, with over 100 years experience in the transportaion of goods-from small works of art or household effects to large industrial products. It also boasts an extensive record in the construction of large structures and industrial plants.

Nippon Express has participated in various projects calling for the construction of large installation such as power plants, petrochemical plants, bridges,and so on. Its Heavy Haulage and Construction Division combines the vast fleet of special vehicles and construction equipments with its own high technologies to provide an integrated service for these projects, handling everything from the transportation of heavyweight equipment and components to on-site assembly, erection and construction. The division also provides shut-down maintenance services for refineries, petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants, and so on.

These activities are worldwide, extending from Southeast Asia to South America, from the C.I.S. and the remote Middle East to Africa, and are very often supported by other divisions which enable to handle the packing of equipment, the preparation of documents, and customs clearance.
